Available to those living in the community who may feel lonely or isolated, this “club” promotes independence while providing stimulation and socialization. Senior Encounter also provides much needed respite for families and caregivers in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

Qualified, caring staff provide scheduled activities and offer kind supervision and guidance. Meal service is provided including lunch and refreshments.  The program also offers assistance with mobility and personal needs. Members have access to the Hair Salon* as well as opportunities to participate in Home activities including musical guests and special events.

All activities are client focused and tailored to the needs of each member. Daily programs include Eldersize, age appropriate Games, Sing Songs, Baking, Crafts, Cognitive Games, Trivia, and Seasonal Celebrations. A structured day, the program offers activities based on the abilities of the clients, respectful of their needs and capabilities. Assistance with Activities of Daily Living provided as required.

Monday to Thursday 9:00 – 3:30
Friday 9:00 – 3:00

Eligibility:
Registration and assessment by Community Care Access Centre
Medical report certifying ability to participate in program
Ability to participate within the limits of care provided
